Our client, a large New Zealand electricity and gas lines company, wanted to gain a better understanding of their asset management performance.

Igniter had recently completed a review of the current processes and were subsequently asked to design and create metrics  and KPIs to benchmark and then monitor ongoing asset management performance.

Igniter's approach:

From a map of the current state of the asset management processes, Igniter was able to develop the high level structure of how the client managed their assets and identify the owners of each area. We worked with each owner to define requirements and targets for their area, and then a series of localised metrics were agreed before we created a data collection plan.

Outcomes for our client:

The client was left with a scorecard to measure performance and the next step was to compare the current state of the asset management processes with best practice. This included a gap analysis with PAS 55 requirements.
